Research-Intensive Communities

As the director of the Aggie Research Program I supervise, coordinate and assist with cultivating research communities of practice consisting of students, research staff, and faculty that lead diverse teams of undergraduates engaged in collaborative research. I coordinate and oversee the development and maintenance of scalable program infrastructure that supports research and mentor training for a growing number of participants. My emphasis on training team leaders for equitable research opportunities, critical reflection, and collaboration has grown the program by 30% each year since 2017. The resulting infrastructure supported more than 1,200 students in AY 2019-2020, 41% of whom were from underrepresented groups.
